I am amazed with the amount of things you do... usually when I say I don't have time, I am just being a dick and don't want to do the said task... but damn. When you say you don't have time... I believe you.
running the events are easy, hardest part is when you have to deal with school bureaucracy, teachers and parents who have a different vision. What's cool about robotics is that you can do it with a napkin sketch anytime of the year, unlike sports and other activities. Yes you still need to prototype and build at some point. But the science in it is to sit back and solve a problem or make it better and you don't need much to do that. I'm not an engineer so pretty useless to the kids during build season. But what I try to offer them is a working framework to achieve a goal.

Hope you guys realize that I am not saving any of these.... so if you want to see different colors, you have to be more specific

will do, my goal is to get the richer districts to help at risk districts succeed at the tournaments as such.
This year, I'm trying to get a workshop going where neighboring schools get together post competition season to discuss their lessons learned and build camaraderie across towns. Growing up, I used to go to Bell Labs in the summers for work study and some of the brightest kids came from Plainfield, which is a depressed city near where I grew up. We can talk more about this when we are together, PM me if you have questions

Oh, those 'robotics'...I thought you meant something about process automation, industrial stuff...that was more my stomping ground.
