Honda Fit: Hoarders Edition.

I don't know what you're talking about.

Been nothing but happy with my Fit. I can't imagine how it could fit a tall person however. I'm 5'7" and have the seat one notch from all the way back. Backseat has more room than an Accord however....

Gas mileage has been great, high 30s in mixed driving. I drive a lot for work so I am not interested in something too much bigger. My car is easier to park and has a shorter length WITH the bike rack than most cars.

I can't fit my bikes straight up with the handlebars near the rear window, probably due to the 2015 redesign. I can however fit my bikes usually the other way with the handlebars behind the front seat and the front wheel removed.

I actually ripped out the driver's side rear seat (I never have more than 3 people) and use that area as a big storage area. I've been meaning to build a little platform using the stock seat mounts but it's too nice out to do carpentry. The rear seat setup with the magic seats is awesome. It's great to be able to keep all my biking junk in the backseat area underneath the seats.

I think I tried to fit a bike sideways when I got the car but it was a failure if I recall. Not sure when I'd use that anyway.

My Element is super duper awesome, but sadly they discontinued them. One large 29er or fatbike slight caddy-corner with the seats folded up, two bike side by side with the front wheel off. If I pulled the seats out, probably three inside but then the third rider would have to sit on the roof I guess...

That's really cool! Looks like you're suspending the bikes by their seat from a bar, anything securing the front?
Nope though things changed as van is a full time work van so I built shelving behind the drivers side. Still get two DH rigs in and use the shelving for equipment when doing weekends at the big mountains.

Do you know if your Transit Connect is the "standard wheelbase" model (hope I'm using the right terminology)? I have an acquaintance who said he bought a "short wheelbase" model which would probably also work for transporting a bike and might be more appropriate for persons not using the vehicle as a work van.
Long wheelbase. Definitely a short wheelbase would work also. IIRC it's about 16" between the 2.

Bikes are on the outside on a hitch, but I'm liking my wife golf wagon. Also liking the Sweet gas mileage. Too bad we're going sell it back to VW for something more environmentally friendly.... probably that new VW alltrack.

My 4Runner is not long for this world.

Practical Woody is leaning towards a Sienna AWD. Tons of room for bikes, skis, homies, etc, and I don't really need the off-roadability of the 4runner.

But Dreamer Woody is pushing hard for this, in which case it replaces the 4Runner AND the house...

A fully MTB centric customized Spinter including a solar panel roof is a reoccurring theme in my win lotto dreams.
