Cannondale 2013 demo

Are we still going to be allowed to hit the trails tomorrow with all this rain!

Although I would rather postpone this.. The truck is here today only. I checked w the guy who built most of the trials here and he said ok.

If you are mud adverse, there are some killer road bikes to test as well.

I was hoping to make this event, but was down in Long Branch with my better half for the Jersey Girl Triathlon.

Hoping someone took some pics and I'm curious about the specs on the Scalpel 29er 2

Despite the rains yesterday the trails were not bad, a few puddles to get dirty in, but traction was not an issue. There was a line at 9:00 to demo bikes, a lot of folks came out.

Lou, Chris, Pearl & Mandi.

Such a good time even though I'm unable to ride average people sized bikes.

The turn out was great, and I saw tons of smiles all around.

Thanks J and whoever else was on the grill cooking for us hungry riders!

I had a ton of fun today. So great to get some good people on some bikes.

Conditions were slick but not as bad as it might have been.

Thanks for the awesome support and great vibes all around. I now for sure that at least 2 people were out on bikes for their very first mt bike rides. That was awesome,

We will be doing this again w/ giant in a few weeks.

Thanks

J

I'm happy I went...but mad too...because I got to ride some sweet bikes...that I can't get right now (EVO and carbon Scalpel)!

Thanks Jay and Halter's for bringing this together!

For the non-cannondale-savvy folks out there, can we get a line up of what was there for the demo? I know I rode a scalpel with a lefty, but was it the carbon model or the aluminum? I also know I rode an Evo with Sram Red components and that sick primer black Caad10 Frame with the electronic shifting.

The scalpel 29er were 2013 Scalpel 29er 1's (carbon)

Any dates for the 2013 release, specifically the Scalpel 29 Carbon 2
?

From what I read there is no changes to the scalpel 2 except for the updated Lefty which was suppose to roll out sometime in July. There's a thread on MTBR (Cannondale forum) about the 2013 line.

Thanks Kirt, I'll check out the forums

We already have them on order.

They are not far out.

Get you name on one ASAP.

Are the component specs the same as the 2012 model? I thought I read on MTBR that they were coming with ZTR Crests for 2013.

And you know J i'll stop by to give you my money, I'm just on the fence and can't decide if I want the Carbon2 or Alloy 3.

So hypothetically speaking, if someone was on the fence about the Scalpel Carbon 2, should they get on the list for the 2013 or just buy a 2012? Are the 2012's going to be discounted at all? Is the new fork worth the wait?
