Which XC race bike should I buy?

Thanks everyone, I just bought the cannondale flash 1, $1899!! It fits me perfect, taking it out tomorrow for it's maiden voyage. Sitting at a bar with Portland(dan) and celebrating! Tomorrow I will be starting a new thread on how to eat shit on a hardtail.

The maiden voyage went well. Unfortunately i didnt eat shit. It felt awesome, much different than what im used to. It felt like here was an engine on the bike going up hills, whenever I pedal it lunges forward. I climbed some hills in gears I wouldn't have dreamed of before. Dan let me barrow some Clipless pedals. They definately gave me more control and power. I was suprisingly stable on downhills, not twitchy like I expected. I definately have to get used to using my legs more as suspension. It made the ride more challenging to find the lines, and it was more fun then just mowing through stuff. It made me feel like a kid again, which was awesome. It worked flawlessly, and it is one sexy bike.
 
One thing I can say about the lefty is it tracks like its on a rail. Ive riden a lot of other standard forks but untill I got the lefty, I didnt know what I was missing.
