Hey everyone I went to two of my LBS and the first one i went to i asked about the 2010 trek 3900 disc special edition and they just called me and said its at the store. I went to the other store and ordered a 2010 Giant yukon disc but its not here as yet but i had put down a $300 deposit on the giant. i am confuse on what to do should. What Should i do need some suggestions please

Component wise, it looks like the Giant Yukon is the better bike. is the shop selling them at the same price? MSRP has the Giant 50 bucks more.

Have you tried both? Just go with which fits you better.

Planet Bike in East Brunswick sells Giant and Trek, thats the only place I can think of off the top of my head. Give them a buzz and see if they have both in stock. They are about 45 mins from the oranges.

The Giant defnitely has a better parts spec. Rockshox fork, Deore RD, and Avid BB5s are nice touches. And the Nevegal tires are awesome at this price.

Plus, it seems everyone starts on a Trek. Be a little different and grab the Giant.

Hey🙄 I just started and I bought a Trek! Whats wrong with that lol

I actually have the S.E 3900. I love it. I prob should have done more research but I think i wont have the bike longer than a year so its all good. As far as beginner bikes go I love it. The brakes are ok, they seem to get hot and not want to work really fast on long down hills. I found out the hard way. Hence why I was looking into a different set of hydros.

I think most rotors will get hot when used frequently. I know i could take my BB5's and brand a cow afterr some of the downhills at round valley.

I guess i won't have to concern myself with that until Avid starts distributing milk....or porterhouses! yea, steak! :drooling: :getsome:

On topic though, i started with a Yukon. Probably a '96. And riding a Trek 4500 SE now...the color schemes on the SE's are really slick...matte black and white, or matte white and blue...
