Allaire tree clearing outing

just have to wait and see at this point it is supposed to stay in the mid 30's so we might just get rain stay tuned...
 
LOl so much for rain. 🙁 Well if this first one doesnt happen ill be able to make the rescheduled 1st and second event!

Only good thing about today is im waiting for the UPS man to show up with some mtb goodies. 😉
 
As of about ten minutes ago those big fat snowflakes had turned into rain here in Asbury Park. I'm six miles or so from Allaire.
 
Yeah the lastest snow amount says 3 to 4 inches but it looks to me that one or two of that has melted. With any luck were going to get the lesser of the amount forcasted.
 
Well between the rain and the snow I think we are going to postpone this until next Sunday as I do not want to mar the trails with foot prints to freeze. 🙁
 
I had some custom mtb things made at purelycustom.com. Ive been getting stuff made by them for my atvs for at least 6 years. They also make tons of custom stuff for mtbs! Including the custom bash guard i had made for my girls mtb. Its got flames and shamrocks and other things on it. Also i orderd a forkup adapter for my specialized pitch to mount it on my car. I have a wtb seat on my hardtail and i love it so i bought one for my pitch as well. Thinking about trying out some WTB wolverine 2.2's on my hardtail. Someone at WTB recommended them for east coast riding. The light weight race version.

Yeah id have to say that this storm has ruined everything for another week or two! AHHHHH this is the worst! Well if the first trail clearing party is going to be postponed i should be able to make the rescheduled date!
 
Just took a walk through there just to see what was doin'. Damn, Allaire really is pretty F'd! :hitsfan: Lots of tree carnage. It's going to need a lot of love for sure.
Really wish I could join for the reschege but I'll be in the FL. Keys.

no problem dude this will most likely be done in multiple sessions..
too bad we got smacked this week it is suppose warm up..
 
Has anyone gone by alliare? The snow from last thurs/friday has melted away here already in ocean county. And my gf's house in howell only has a few inches.
 
I was there Friday and the lot was not plowed I am going to do a drive by tonight on the way home.
either way with the melting that we have the trails are going to be a slopfest at best.

Sounds like fun...I'll bring the monster. We'll all walk in with saws and pruners. It will be fun and sad all at the same time. There are a lot of trees down from what I hear. An Allaire regular was out on her horse and couldn't believe the amount of damage. I informed the park that it would take repeated outings to get the damage cleared.
