I was on a group ride a few weeks ago and that include a trail called the "Log Trail"

Where is this trail and how does one find it?

interesting...was it marked? really only know the trails by the colors/markings...

Are you talking about the fast swoopy trail that spills out onto the fireroad section of yellow? Fun stuff!

If so, I think you have to stay right at the top of the fire road and head back into the singletrack and continue to keep right.

I think it goes between 2 fire/access trails but where is it? I think it's on the south east part of the park.

i think i know what you are talking about, maybe. there's the big fire road climb (which i have heard is called 'heart attack hill'). when you come from the pavilion, and you start the fire road climb you come to a 'clearing' of sorts. go left in the clearing and you'll see some singletrack on your right. its a more interesting way up a portion of the fireroad. its not marked tho.

When going past the pavilion - and staying on yellow - the new trail is (if I remember correctly) the fourth one on the right. I believe you will pass the lower entrance to green at the water crossing, the start of the red trail and maybe the top of green before you get to the new trail. I don't recall a trail marker being there yet, but this will take you to the end of the trail. I honestly don't know where it starts - but climbing it from the bottom is not too difficult due to the switchback effect and smooth terrain.

Someone else post if they have better information. I was at LM on Sunday but simply forgot to look for the entrance to the new trail.

I think it's the one clarenstein said, lots of logs on that small trail and it isn't marked.
Also, when you cross the river at the very start of the race loop, and go RIGHT after the bridge, you go around the corner and there was a whole new section of singletrack being cut. I saw it at the race, but haven' been back. It was marked and cut with red flags. Looks like a go around to the red trail at the bottom of the hill.

Wow. Have not seen that one yet. I usually don't go down the green trail that far. The one I was talking about was finished last year.

The one on green is a small reroute, from the bridge down to the water crossing (on the race course). They've been doing work on that bottom part for a year (ish) now.

Technically the green is illegal to ride on.
