Chimney Rock Conditions

I think about it a little different...From self preservation. If one of those is barreling down the trail and slams into you, you're not going to be happy at least, and most likely hurt.
I've encountered a few a Six, Chimney, Stephens, and Allarie, and I've been nice, but politely told them to get out. What they are doing is illegal and it's not even a question. One of the best approaches is to tell them they can go ride at Brendan Byrne. They are running an event there this weekend.
Staying on the nice side, you can always let them know the park has trail cams up and is recoding them. Chimney is one of the few parks that rangers actaully patrol.

Halfway home and my pagers still blowin up
Rode yellow, orange and Cromwell.
The blooming trees and bushes are pulling the moisture right out of the ground and it’s been getting steadily better all week here overall!
Yellow was entirely mud free for me. Nothing else to report.
Orange is nearly completely dry. The climb trail from Gilbride is A-OK with just a puddle left before the slab from Gilbride. Bit of softness at the corduroy but what else is new… 🤷♀️
Cromwell looking superb. No sightings of kids on dirt bikes too. 👍
I love this picturesque moss-accented water crossing.
I found these pink adult-sized panties on the trail leading back to Gilbride. These belong to one of you? DM if you are still looking for them and I’ll tell you where I spotted them. (No judgement but tsk, tsk….)
Then I took the side spur to that peaceful part of the trail next to the soothing Middle Brook.

And last, I scoped out my latest nemesis, Mister Rock Roll…
I’ll come back with a friend and do it. Didn’t want to try it solo today.

You found it! It is my heated socks battery 🙂
I dropped it few weeks ago and the fact that i didn't realize it until i reached home, you can tell that the socks is not good. Regular toe warmer is still much better.
You can throw it away, or if you go to CR again next time, you can leave it at one of the information board or any marker and let me know. Thanks!
Rode red and blue today.
Nothing notable to report. Red was nearly mud free except for that first switch back climbing up from the Newman lot.
Upper blue was 100% dried out, including the S-turns. Lower blue was wet in the lowest and most stubborn to dry sections but not too bad. I’d say it’s totally rideable and I absolutely HATE getting mud on myself.

Thx for intel on blue! Haven't gone near it yet, as it's usually the last to get good, so nice to hear it's there! The rest of the place is in great shape, with the very odd soft spot far and few between.

We are going to fix that.
Some police 👮🏾 I’ve asked say that people call 911 for far lesser issues.. but we should stay on their good side.

Beautiful day at the Rock today.
More water than I expected though. Cut my ride short since red and upper blue still had small patches of standing water from the earlier passing showers. I live close and only observed a few minutes of light rain while outside around mid-day washing my bike. Guess Chimney got hit harder.
Still rideable. Should be even better tomorrow.
