Zoey From Halters Cycles has gone missing:

Oh no sorry to hear that I hope she’s found soon. At least the weather isn’t too bad if she’s still outdoors somewhere.

Was hoping to open this with found, I really hope you get Zoey back soon.

I hope you find Zoey. Did you check the Long Hill Kennel and area nearly across the street from the last seen area?

Zoey was spotted on south Middlebush by 6mr at 8;30 monday

By the time we got there she was long gone but I did see a familiar print;

Wow well that’s great news she is still around and In the area. !!

The dog trainer in me wonders if she’s around the trails a lot and if she’s been there with you she might be hanging around the woods because it’s familiar and feels/smells/sounds safe.

I’m sure you know this but they have an incredible sense of smell, hearing etc.

What if you could park nearby with any of her favorite toys , treats, fav food scraps maybe her leash or anyting that sounds and smells familiar to her. I’m not sure how she’s trained but if she has any level of recall you’d be surprised how far away she could hear you.

I’m guessing by now you have some posters up around the area and the trailheads too.

I’ve also heard of local pet finder groups willing to help out for an organized search.

Hope any of that is helpful and she gets back to you soon !

She has spent countless hrs with me at 6mr trail building. Now that I think about it, it’s where I have spent the largest amount of outside time with her.

She’s pretty well trained, but I think at this point she’s not walking near anyone she doesn’t know. Just figuring that she hasn’t been captured in 4 days walking around is enough to make me think she’s steering clear of unknown people.

good - so this further fuels my theory that shes hanging around in the trails since its so familiar to her. shes got plenty of spots to drink from water holes/river if she needs it too.
I dont know her general personality but given shes probably scared Im sure shes avoiding any unfamiliar human contact. And in her dog brain shes waiting somewhere shes comfortable waiting for you to come get her.

I hope it's not too forward to suggest that you take all her fav things with you and go camp out or ride the trails with some of her things with you. It may sound ridiculous and it may take a few hours of calling out to her, but my gut tells me she is just in the trails waiting for you. Bring some food that she gets as a special treat infrequently (i.e. Shelby LOVES Chicken)

If I thought it would help I would literally drive an hour down that way to help but my presence might actually prevent her from coming to you since she doesnt know me. If shes trained and has good recall, once she hears YOU I feel like she will come right to you. And especially since they saw her last night you know shes still around.

Good luck keep us posted. DM me if you want to chat 1:1 I prefer not to publish my cell here directly.

so.. she was spotted again tonight. Back to her favorite spot on Long Hill Road in Hillsborough just south of the Kennel.

I got to the spot an hour after her sighting and I was able to follow her tracks for about 1/4 until the newly fallen leaves covered her tracks.

The crazy thing is that she was spotted 10 feet from a poster with her photo on a telephone pole. It's as if she fucking with us!!

Fingers crossed that she finds her way home very soon.
