Yakima high roller or Thule Sidearm?

Im preparing to purchase a new bike rack setup on my new car. Im going to go with the whispbar base system for its clean look (any opinions on the whispbar would be great also), but I cant decide between the yakima high roller or thule sidearm. Which is the better bike attachment. The yakima looks good and is supposed to be yak's top dog bike attachment, but i have heard the knob to tighten the bike down can come loose on its own. With the side arm, i am not sure if it will fit the whispbar system since it is a thule and not yakima. If anyone has an personal experience with these systems id appreciate some opinions and thoughts.
Thanks guys.

What kind of car is it going on? I had a high roller for a short time, it was a solid rack but it was a monster on my small honda coupe. My Thule big mouths are much smaller by comparison. If you're mounting it on a bigger vehicle it won't be an issue. I don't have experience with the sidearm so I can't compare the two. I have a good mix of Thule and Yakima rack pieces though and overall I prefer Thule, it seems to holdup better. You can generally mix and match when it comes to mounting racks on a base system, sometimes you have to replace the rack mounts though if they aren't universal.

Are you set on a roof rack? Many folks prefer hitch mounted platform racks these days. I'm looking to ditch my roof setup soon and switch to a hitch setup.

I just bought a new wrx sedan. No need for the hatch as im against putting muddy bikes in cars haha. And the hatch seems to hit roof racks when you open it anyway. Hitch is a possibility, but im not too fond of it because i would most likely have to cut some of the rear bumper on the car because of the quad tipped exhaust. I was also looking at the rockymounts tierod. Are fork mounts the much more obsolete nowadays. The tierod is really sleek looking. Only problem is I have a 15mm thru axle so I think i would have to buy an adapter for a fork mount.

I have the same car with thule roof rack. I had the same rack on my old wrx and just put it on the new one. Didn't want to go through the hassle of buying the hitch plus rack, installing and then selling the existing one. Its not that much trouble with the roof rack, both accomplish the same thing
