my bike is a 14 year old cannondale and i was wondering how possible it would be to change the front shock from the p-bone set-up it has now to a more modern style fork. i know that the headset is 1.5' so there might be some hope there. was wondering if you guys could help me out.

what's the approx. axle to crown length on your current fork? this will help determine what, if anything, will work with the frame without effing up the geometry too much.

wood probably better off buying a used, steel 29er singlespeed. starting with a new frame is going to be the way to go bruh

I was in the same boat as u a couple years back. I loved my Cannondale Killer V but sorely needed a replacement for the old Judy SL (70mm travel). As much as I loved that frame putting a $400ish fork on a bike with antiquated brakes and I need of a new set of wheels in another year or so. I bit the bullet, sold it (for a helluva lot more than I thought I'd get) and bought a new bike. I agree with the above at minimum buy a new frame/fork or just sell it as is and get a whole new ride.

troof.

but i have a fork with a 1.5" steerer if you want to go that route.

I'm thinking I'm going to have a problem because I have that 2 or 3 inch gap between the fork and the headset. I wonder if I could fix That by putting a 29er fork in it with my 26 wheels to make up for the 3 inches lost

I'm not sure the Actual length right cause I'm at work but there's 2 or 3 inches oh traveler to account for I'm hoping its 3

HeadShok Rigid Conversion

Step 1) Cut off the rubber bootie
Step 2) Install one of these

That's my kustom secret yo, don't tell anyone else.

it replaces the reflectors 😀

yeah man, go rigid!

I could make it rigid without that. The spring is adjustable. But why go rigid?

Lol reflectors are only there because I ride it on the street at night couple of weeks ago.

went outside and measured my frame its 21.5 from he center of the crank up to the seat post hole. if i measured right.
