I'm new to the area. Which trail would be good to go out on. I've been riding for about 6 months but all in Florida (Santos) Thanks for the info. 🙂

You are in Chester so you have alot of choices that may be closer to you than CR...I will let the others elaborate on that for I am not from that particular area...I do know Allamuchy is near you and has three different riding areas...Deer Park/North/Stephens

i mapquest it and not that far from my house.... was looking at the map and there seem to be several trails (blue, yellow, red orange). Which one would you recommend for a first ride out there. I'll be myself, are the trails well marked?
Thanks

well... you are most likely going to be in for some shock when you actually hit hills and rocks as opposed to florida. what would you consider youre skill level to be?

When are you going? for the forseeable future it's not going to be good to ride. Conditions are very sloppy right now.

Otherwise, I would post up when you want to go and maybe someone will join you.

ummm, was going to go tomorrow but i guess that's not an option 🙁 I rode at Santos while in FL so i've seen rocks and more technical things, but have yet to experience long hills. everything at Santos is short and in the more technical areas, steep. I guess i would consider myself at low intermediate level...

cr is really rocky and rooty... but give it a shot when the conditions get better. its a great park and you wont have any problems finding someone to ride with.

Try Lewis Morris tomorrow. Not too far and hard to get lost. Not a ton of trails but they dry well so you should be ok there.

Don't go by that...It is a huge place and one turn and you run the possibility of running late to Thanksgiving dinner...Ask "Kush" how a 15 mile ride can turn quickly into 30

just printed out map of lewis morris....can't wait to get out. it's been a couple of weeks. spoiled in FL and rode almost everyday.

Nope. This would be my first time out. Made it back to Jersey only a few days ago.

You should be good to go. What time are you riding? Maybe someone will be able to join you.
