Resurrecting an old thread, but the times have changed. Looking to have my 27.5 rear DT Swiss 350/XM 481 wheel rebuilt. Broke my 5th and 6th spokes and just don't trust it. I live fairly close to Hilltop in Madison. What's the going rate for a wheel build? How about timeline?

Hilltop Madison is great, but if you go there for something technical or a wheel build, they might send you to Summit for Jim anyway.

We hired a new guy Rick in the Madison shop. He's a good mechanic and has been in the industry a long time so you will be fine there. Or you can bring it to me, whichever is easier. I've built more wheels than probably every shop in NJ combined 😅

I'd recommend taking the trip to Summit and see Jim....
