Launch, go or no go?

Didn't want to hijack the Blue thread.

I usually go to MCBP, but have been all over the east coast. I like the novelty of new trails. However, I only get to ride DH 3 or 4 times/month. And MCBP is a known great time. Especially enjoying a few post ride beers & the 'scenery'. Is Launch worth spending one of my few DH days? I'm pretty comfy on everything at creek. No George Ryan but I'm no hack either.

3-4 times a month is A LOT! I get to DH 3-4 times a summer now. Very chill vibe at Launch and lift tickets are cheaper than MCBP. Definitely worth checking out. If you are one of those people who rides Dominion to Alpine all day, however, then you won't like Launch.

LOL...yeah, i hear ya. I'm cool with the rocks. I appreciate the feedback. So, sounds like we should pack a lunch, beers and any equipment we may need right? Assuming they don't have quite the extensive base area accommodations of mountain creek.

Launch is totally worth a visit. The trail builders there take a lot of pride in their work and the terrain is really unique. Its a small mountain and the lift is slow but its a nice change of pace.

Launch is definitely much smaller than MCBP, but many of the locals who ride downhill love it. I don't really ride DH that much, but I hear they did a really good job rebuilding it from back in the early 00's.

Which way would you be driving out? Because if you are coming 78 to PA Turnpike NE Extension and are looking for food/beer on the way out or back, check out Bethlehem Brew Works. Best around!

Yeah, there's no shop or stores anywhere near there so bring your tools and spare parts as well as refreshments.
