Groomed Trails in NJ?

Are there any groomed trails in NJ where fatbikes are allowed? I saw a post on FB saying that trails are groomed at the Tourne. True?

I don't think a grooming machine can fit through single track. Probably snowmobiles sometimes go through there and there's a lot of traffic there so it tends to get packed down pretty quick compared to other parks.

We have a snowmobile and groomer for Dickerson Mine Preserve but it's not doing us any good as we can't get access to the trailer. For now it's just snowshoes. 🙁

Hmm maybe I am wrong and they do have groomer at Tourne.

They groom but only allow xc skiers on groomed sections. They also rent xc skis.
They probably won't start grooming until tomorrow.

Ahhh Gotcha, yeah I imagine it's gonna take a few minutes to get the park ready.

Fatbikers may be interested but xc skiers are not interested in them destroying the tracks and the park system makes money renting xc skies. If you want to try the groomed trails rent some skies, you may enjoy it.

FYI Ringwood get basically groomed with all the snow mobile traffic. It's actually really good there.

Give it until the end of the day today and the tourne should have a packed down foot path.

I just finished clearing out my driveway. I'm gonna head to the Tourne this afternoon with my fat bike, xc skis, and snowshoes. Some form of cardio is happening in the woods today to add to all that shoveling exercise.

Yup Mohonk allows fatbikes on their groomed trails. Of course there needs to be snow though (currently none- storm didn't make it that far north).
