Getting Ready for Opening Day

CJBMX will have done $10,000 worth of work on the racing surface by the time we open in 2011. We have replaced two corners with bigger banked tuns and have rebuilt every feature on the track. We will be working the surface through March and hands are appreciated. Follow the link for details on the work days.

Remember that CJ is a not for profit community of bike riders who do work out of love for sport. We get out of this is a smile, some fitness and great friends.

We are looking forward to a great season and welcome athletes on MTB bikes to come and join us.

That's great news. Maybe this year I'll dust off my BMX race gear and come down for some gate starts.

As a side note, there is a great interview with Scotty in this months Ride BMX where he mentions how he got into riding bmx in part from racing at CJBMX.
 
Opening Day is coming this May 1, 2011.

CJBMX has spent in excess of 1000 hours building a brand new racetrack at the Jersey Shore. Registration for opening day is from 9:30 to 11:30 with racing at noon.
