GCC storm damage

Some downed trees that have been partially cleared and one of the log over TTFs is damaged. We put up 2 pieces of wood ski crash style to let people know to stay off. So many leaves today it was like riding in november except it was 100F.

All trees were cleared Sunday, including the "V" tree with the bridge through the middle. The right side has been cleared so that the sketchy rebuilt bridge and rooty left side aren't the only route.

The log over with the wooden bridge in the switchbacks after the teeter totter has been fixed.

Also, the bridge over the dry stream heading towards the last climbs to the parking lot has a new board.

Will have to see how things are after the storms roll through tonight, Mon. 8/1.

yeah I rode saturday late afternoon, couldnt make it in the morning (didnt have a sitter, wanted to help out Tim). I like the new sections that were added, tonite's storm could definately made a mess.

Swoopy little bridge

The little bridge in the hole on the Swoopy was looking bad before the rain last night. I picked it up and the dirt underneath is washing away. We got caught in the storm last night and it was pretty bad hail, wind and lots of rain. The bridge may have been washed away. I would be careful and check it out before trying to cross it.

Thanks for the info John. Will forward on in preparation for the race on Sunday. The bridge is on the to-do list.

Was there last night. The bridge was being replaced when I arrived. There was the usual damp spots and the a few sticks blown down during the storm. I did noticed a few areas that had eroded from water run-off that weren't there are on Sunday. Hopefully the weather cooperates in the next few days.
