Frame that works with a G2 Fork

I'm starting to consider replacing my GF X-Caliber frame. It has all the nice dings and dents that come with time, and I'd rather replace it before I break it 🙂

I like my components/drivetrain and I want to keep them. I also really like the G2 Fox F29 on it. Anyone have suggestions on frames to look into? I would really like to stay at or under the $500 mark.

Thanks!

Misfit diSSent frame. Works perfectly w the fork and other parts of the X-Cal. Although I made mine a 1x10. Mattybfat might be able to shed some light on adding a FD. Here's my X-Cal Misfit mash up. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1346263532.459691.jpg

Thanks! I thought I remembered someone else on here doing an xcal swap. I'm looking at the On One frame too....know anything about them? What made you choose the Misfit?

What made you choose the Misfit?

Because of their awesomeness, seriously though if you are looking to do front shifting then the misfit won't work for you. Misfits are single speeds first and 1x second. The frame's got a racy feel with a lower BB for 29ers. I have put together a few g2 forks and never heard complaints of nervous/sluggish feel in the cockpit...

I run a 2x9 now and like having the little gear for days when the legs aren't cooperating 🙂 I could go 1x9, just not sure I want to. I'll still look into the diSSent, but any other recommendations?

Mostly on recomendations and it had the geo I wanted. Works awesome with G2 Reba. More nimble than any other 29er I've been on. I run my 1x10 w a 30T Anderson chainring and 11-36 in the back. Plenty of gears for me.
