Closures at Ringwood

Pipeline construction has begun. Parking lots in Ringwood state park (Lot C and Shepherds Lake) will be closed much of the time between now and April. Access from top of Skyline Dr is fine. Also parking at Ryerson school on weekends is ok. Many of the fire roads in the park will be closed as the pipeline brings in machinery to work. Closures should be signed.

Can't wait until they cross over into Bergen County, reservation area - our bikes do oh so much damage to the trails that we are not welcome - but bring on the earth movers and a 100' wide cut! Wait until they get a taste of what we see now in Waywayanda, where a year later you still can't cross most parts of their cut.

Well it's a good thing the pipeline extensions don't blast through protected areas within NJ. I guess this re-defines public lands: Anything politicians can whore out for additional money that they won't be accountable for squandering.

Still such a shame to hear about this invasion of our lands, but thanks for posting up, I'll take heed to "avoid" closed areas should I come across one next time I'm riding up there... :getsome:
