thanks for the heads up. unfortunately, this isn't the first time.

its actually happened before a couple years ago. i think the idea of the crime was the burglar would wait in the woods, you pull up, get ready, and take off for your hour/2 hour tromp through the woods, and pop goes your window.
 
Thanks for the heads up wonder if the parking lots by the lake would be better, because there in the an open area? :cry:
 
The parking lot by the lake usually has a ranger parked there. That might be better. I usually park in the gravel lot across the street from the lake. It is a high traffic area too. They must be brazen.
 
This kind of thing sucks. We had trouble a few years back at some of the Princeton area Canal Path parking lots. It would make me feel sick when I'd pull into the lot and see pieces of broken window glass. Luckily, it wen't away and hasnt come back.
 
The park ranger was hot...

Yeah, they basically said it was snatch/grab so it was more likely to happen if you had things visible. GPS, iPods, etc.

Worst place was speedwell which oddly is the more heavily traveled spot. There's also some shady ass people hanging out there typically, including the day I was notified.

Damn she was really cute. And a biker...
