awesome! I really appreciate feedback. We did not have bikes with us Saturday to test it. We hope to get the turn finished up Thursday afternoon, and move on to the next 2 minor reroutes. With any luck, the next weekend day we will start on CB out by Skyline and work back.

Just as a side note, we do not plan to park on Mountainside to hike in to work any longer. It was probably just a rare St Patty happening, but one of our volunteers got their car with bike locked on to rack, smashed up by St Patty drunks on Saturday morning. The police were called 4 times with this out of control party. Oddly, we were all oblivious to it, out working on such a beautiful day. It really makes me appreciate our time to be in the woods and be way from this kind of stuff. Unfortunately, this volunteer has to go through all the hassle of getting car and bike fixed and a new rack and bike parts, insurance etc.

Here is a pic from Sunday going over big rock project. Nice work, thanks!

Ellen,
Rode the new stuff on Red Thursday night, Great job to you, Art and everyone else. Hoping to make it out on the 7th. Did you get to debacle at Blue on Friday?

James

Dirty Thursday is on today! We are working on Ringwood/Ramapo (red) between Old Guard (green/white) intersection and (yellow).

We should be at the work site by 3:00 and work until 6:30 or 7:00. Volunteers can just ride in to the site any time after 3:00. We have been riding in from top of Skyline and it takes about 30 minutes for experienced riders.

Next Thursday April 12, we will work on Cannonball Trail just north of the DPW on Skyline Dr.

Is the DPW yard on the bend just before heading down into Ringwood? Might be able to make this.

Yes, it is maybe 1/2 mile past the gravel parking lot on top of Skyline where we will park. We will ride in to the work site around 4. You are free to show up whenever you can get there.

The new re-route on the Cannonball is complete and open for riding and hiking. Dirty Thursday work will return to Ringwood-Ramapo Trail just north of the intersection of the yellow on April 26. More pictures can be found here:

Ringwood-Ramapo (red) re-route projects are complete! We will be working our way towards Skyline Dr with some minor maintenance on Yellow and Cannonball. Please RSVP each week for location, or just ride out that way and meet us after 4:00 on Thursdays.

Big weekend work day is lined up for Sunday May 27, meet at the gravel lot on top of Skyline 9:00. There is limited parking, so please try to carpool when possible. Be prepared to ride your bike to worksite. If you prefer to walk in, arrive at 8:30 to shuttle in with tools.

We will be working on Cannonball a few miles north of Skyline. If you are looking to get weekend paydirt at Ringwood, this will be our last weekend day for 2012.
