May want to confirm it is IT band with a doc (mine felt different). Sometimes rolling on the outside of your foot(supination) can put tension on it. Could try shims if you are clipped in. Not sure how to address supination on flats. Mine only bothered my running and stiffer shoes seemed to help.

Has anyone had trouble with route planning on trailforks? I don't think I am doing anything differently but when I try to plan a route by clicking on trails the trails do not show up on the map. They have a new(ish) "draw on trails/map" function but that SUCKS. Anyone else had problems with this?
