I had the trp slate T4 on a trail bike for a few years and they were pretty good. I just replaced them with Hayes Dominions which blow them away. Yes, the Hayes Dominion A4 are currently on sale for a lot more than $50 per side, ($125 a side from N+1 bikes), but they are so much better...

Am still sore as hell! Guess I have to do some longer rides to prepare. Fighting cramps from mile 20 until the end and had to slow down. 3:42 finish for 42/65 45+. This was much harder than Dickerson Mine! Looking forward to Iron Furnace at wayway.

Great pics! I lived in Tucson from 99-2000, in the very top left of this pic you can see the enormous Leviathan dome and Wilderness Dome. There is incredible rock climbing on Leviathan Dome, right up the center on the North Face, and a little to the left on a route called User Friendly...

This is my strategy. I have one fox transfer factory, another as a spare for $130, and another Race Face (which is also a transfer) for $109. Three mtbs and I already totally wore the anodizing off a Trans X, so these will come in handy.
