Tell me where you rode today...

Happy Birthday!!! I ran Controls on my SJ for the longest without issues, and I'm just a tad heavier than you at 210 lol. I only switched to the 'heavier' Traverse for Moab and to push the bike more in a responsible manner. I say go for it and move the Epic wheels to the Stumpy. Or, New Wheel...

Tell me where you rode today...

Haha, I said that awhile ago too! I'm more comfortable 'riding' the Epic. The SJ is more purposeful for me (heavier trail riding, pushing limits etc). But I find locally that I can really throw the Epic Evo around more that I expect. It's extremely versatile out here.

What beer are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

Same, and it references my favorite show, so I need to find this somewhere close to where I can ride. Help a brotha out.

That's a really good idea I feel. I've done Tourne a few times, can handle all that, but with some difficulty on the exposure trail overlooking WMA. That fire road climb goes on forever, too...

    We're having a MTB Festival!!!

We needed a time cutoff. Otherwise guys like you would have just been standing on your pedals during the entire festival missing out.

I just might take you up on that. Thank you for the offer!!! Yea, I'm good with the going down part with that stuff, I just struggle with the up, mainly because of technique (power pedal stroke timing, step-ups, etc). I'm better with roots, but rocky ups I struggle with. Planning to do that...

That's what I thought. Only thing in DMP I haven't hit are the drops on Marty's. I should give the beach trail another shot, at least descending at some point.

    Schwalbe's new radials

Actually got a Creek pass this season, fist time. I'll run that combo there to give it a proper eval. Heard mixed stuff with the Albert in front. I'm keeping mine on the back of the Stumpy for now.

    Schwalbe's new radials

So I accidentally got the Tacky Chan in Gravity casing, so that will be being used for the trip to Whistler in August instead. I will run it out back with a Magic Mary out front. Heavy, but it will likely be like riding on rails. The Romy continues to impress on the Epic. This is the perfect...

So I've typically avoided this section of the state by and large. I've ridden Sterling, Allamuchy once or twice. I actually do frequent DMP fairly regularly, and between there and CR, those are my favorite NJ trails. I'd like to start pushing myself a bit more with tech with Whistler on my...
