They are trucks for people who realize they don't need to buy a truck capable of towing the boat they don't own yet.

Post a picture of your next bike part or mtb gear on order!

I ride long & steep stuff on a lot of my rides so end up needing more power than I did on NJ trails. My G2 brakes for instance were mostly OK in NJ but once out on steep/fast trails is where I found the power lacking. For XC riding the more power is beneficial to late brake before a sharp turn.

I still find the G2 to be the most disappointing brakes. OK until you really need them. I wish I had just bought codes or Shimano 4 piston.

So did you try to honk at her and get her attention to her phone on the roof since you were behind her at a light? Or just watched her lose her phone?

What have you done to your car today?

@Red Mosquito Before going crazy if the carpet is really dirty, look into how much a replacement carpet is. I bought one once for a mid-60's car and it wasn't that expensive and molded to fit properly. Your hatch struts make me laugh because I bought a 1990 Mustang years ago and it came with...

    Tariffs...what to make of them.

Now the narrative is this war is over 8 women Iran is going to execute and my parents have taken up this cause. @Carson I wish I wasn't winning in this game of who's family is the most detached from reality.

EBikes.. How much power and travel?

Shimano came out with LinkGlide. SRAM has definitely put thought into e-bikes with Transmission. They're definitely not ignoring it, it's just more of what companies are specifying on the OEM builds doesn't seem great for longevity. What we need is the SRAM marketing division to make 10-speed...

EBikes.. How much power and travel?

I agree with you and that's how I'd go about it. But we also know how much people care about weight on their bikes even if it's not noticeable. Right now as you go up the drivetrain ladder you'll get more durability but mostly less weight as you spend more $$ on a regular bike. When you are...

EBikes.. How much power and travel?

I'm wondering if we'll see E-bike specific drivetrains come out. There's a lot of discussion that Transmission is designed around E-bikes which is why there's a lot of weight in the components compared to earlier series. While there's Linkglide which seems to be more durable, to me it makes...

    E-bikes are a thing

So data-point on e-bikes on trails. My town doesn't have a lot of mountain biking trails but the ones they do have ban e-bikes of any type. The town council re-visited this and decided on keeping the ban and it seems like it's for two reasons: 1) They don't want an additional user group on...

    The Joy of Mountain Biking

Yeah I'm realizing Me & Joy have done most of this, minus the East Fork trail . We've climbed Old Butt Knob together and came down Shining Creek and I descended it another time doing the reverse. As steep as it is going up, it's way easier than going down especially when it's overgrown in late...

    The Joy of Mountain Biking

Damn, that loop looks good. Hits the best part of the ALT and also part of the MST. I may propose we do that as a hike to do a shakedown before attempting full ALT.

    Ringwood Rumble CANCELED!

Really it comes down to a race needs the traffic stopped which requires cops. At the event, it's in the field and when you leave to go ride it's just groups and I doubt that's coordinate with the parks department much at all. When it's a race the course including trails are laid out for...

What have you done to your bike today?

Are you running the 35mm inner Ibis rims? This the new AF or older AF? With DHRIIs or Assegais on both me and my wife's Ripmo AFs we have plenty of room but it's the last gen.

    Ringwood Rumble CANCELED!

Years ago I was doing some of the leg work on a race in Stephens. Discussions with whoever I was dealing with over there made it clear it was basically impossible for a few reasons: 1) Parking. Need to get use of the field at a minimum. We'd maybe get special access for the us to to get...

Cars, it's electric! Do Do Do

That seems like a risky one-way trip and I would assume you'd want/need to charge in the middle of it. I doubt it's the 2000 feet of elevation change as much as the mileage and highway driving. Asheville is 4 hours minimum from the ocean depending on what part of the ocean. 270 miles from...

Help Needed, Specialized Chisel Evo Owners

If it's any help, I'm amazed at how well the bike rides. I did swap out pretty much everything but the fork/front wheel/stem but the geometry is spot on.

    1. 12-1/2" 2. 3-5/8" If it matters, my fat man calves sometimes rub on the rear linkage but it's not horrible.

    Raising Cane's?

When I was younger and we'd go out west we'd hit up In-N-out directly from the airport and multiple times during the trip. Now that I'm older and wiser it's not even something I'd consider as it's pretty mediocre.

Cars, it's electric! Do Do Do

I'm referring to the Honda Fit. The Minivan can't be replaced by electric. That's a use case where fully electric cars really don't make sense. And outside of road trips I doubt it'll get much use. If the Fit had to replaced something like a Bolt would be perfect.
