Let's hear some opinions about the current gravel bikes

Cheers! Paul's the man and he did a great job on the buildup. I'm usually over there on Saturdays for the Mountain Espresso ride too. This bike was actually a shop demo bike that he offered to sell me after we discovered Rodeo Labs was sold out of 54cm Flaanimals until Q1 '26.

Let's hear some opinions about the current gravel bikes

I guess since we're sharing gravel bike pics, here's my Rodeo Labs Flaanimal 5.0. Built this up last year with Paper Trail over in Philly. GRX 12 speed (10-51), Spinergy GX wheels, and 45c Gravelking X1's. Super fun bike, feels way more compliant and capable than my last gravel bike (On One Rujo).

835 acres adjacent to Black Run to be preserved

    No idea lol

    E-bikes are a thing

So the fine for getting caught is $50, but insurance will cost $300 or more per year. I like those odds

    E-bikes are a thing

Time for a new market of stealth e-bikes to crop up

    E-bikes are a thing

Stupid ass law. Hopefully this is as well enforced as the class 3 "law", but I suspect now that they can blanket e-bikes under one umbrella they'll use it as an excuse to harass riders.

    E-bikes are a thing

I keep telling people the same thing over the proposed license and insurance requirements. It's not going to stop someone who's already ignoring existing laws (riding wrong direction, running reds, sidewalk riding, etc.) and completely up to whether they enforce it or not. (imo it's not a good...

Tell me where you rode today...

Essentially yep! My crew started in Philly and I met them at Cooper River Park, then we meandered our way down to AC

Tell me where you rode today...

(I'm sure those of you that have done this route could name each location lol. And yeah someone in our crew did this on a brakeless fixie 🤟)

Not sure if this works logistically, but @a.s. just posted this https://mtbnj.com/forum/threads/free-bike-box.59014/

    Upgraded 2018 YT Jeffsy 27.5 Medium $1100/obo

$1200 ? That '22 Jeffsy that sold here is making me think I'm highballing this bike . Market is nuts these days. Anyway shoot me an offer. Bike's been sitting, might need some new rim-tape or a valve for the rear wheel though, there's a slow leak.

Parts bin clean out (some free, some for $)

Next we actually have the tires that are on these wheels! However I wanted to list them separately in case anyone's looking for some 26" gravel tires. They're a pair of 26x2.1" (or 54c) Panaracer Gravelking SK+. The Plus edition has additional sidewall protection for some underbiking...

Parts bin clean out (some free, some for $)

Hi all, I'm back with some more junk I mean uh PARTS to sell and give away! ;) Up first we have a lovely set of 26" Mavic wheels that I got from Firelordjim a few years ago! I used these as a "dip the toe" wheelset for trying gravel riding out on my old 26" hardtail. I no longer have the...

    The Good Deals Thread

I've had them bled once, and they are quite powerful. But the Guide RE's have a much stronger grab earlier in the stroke, they feel more like a DH brake compared to the XTRs. Both are on metallic pads too. But like @Santapez said everyone has a different experience with brakes. I find the XTRs...

    The Good Deals Thread

If they're anything like the old Guide RE's they'll be a great powerful brake for cheap. I have a set of Guide RE's on my Jeffsy and they're more powerful than even my 4 pot XTRs on my new bike.
