Broken frame - Klein Mantra - Update - Paragon or Superfly?!

I have the paragon myself and it has been pretty awesome. With my skills its been through plenty of crashes. Not to mention my first impression of the bike is of how much lighter it is than it actually looks. I can let you take it for a quick spin sometime if you'd like.

Rear derailleur question...do I have it right?

I may be reading this wrong but from the sounds of it your cable tension is off. And if your limit screws are adjusted properly and its not shifting to the smallest cog then it sounds like its too tight. Another thing to look out for is if your cable tension is fine but your derailer or hanger...

im looking to buy another bike. i dont know what to buy

Looking used is a good idea. By the way the Fisher bikes you were looking at have custom offset forks so if you switch them with regular forks own the road its going to throw your handling off a bit.

    fork help

If its that old you may have trouble finding a suspension fork. There should be a one inch headtube so you may have to do some digging to find a fork to match that.

    Gearing on a budget.

Ah ok sometimes you dont even have to replace it just lube it up real good and sometimes you can work out the stiff links as long as the chain isnt too far gone. And if thats the case all youll need is a tensioner and a bashguard and youll be set

    Gearing on a budget.

hmm if you replace the chain theres a good chance your cassette will need replacing as well but seeing as theres less than 100 miles on it I doubt it. Is there any particular reason the chain is going to have to be replaced seems to be pretty quickly.

    Gearing on a budget.

Did you replace the middle chainring or chain or anything of the nature recently? It could be that the chaiinring is worn out and the chain cant sit on it anymore properly. You can kinda see if thats the case by looking at the teeth if theyre really sharp and pointy then its all worn out. I'd...

    BB Question

I'm pretty sure the bottom bracket on the Superfly is a press fit. Theyre pretty much like those that have been pretty much standard on bmx bikes these past few years from what I've been told.

    Clipless

I have shimano m520s I believe they are. They were recommended to me and they're fairly cheap but are pretty darn indestructible for the most part.

    clipless vs. platforms

I alternate between the two and for now I mostly use platforms cause I'm still learning and once I get better and not crash as much I'll probably ride clipless since I tend find myself in a gear or two higher than normal while clipped in

    Brake Recommendation?

My brother runs Deore hydraulics on his bike and hes pretty happy with them so far. No rubbing or any problems at all yet. They retail at about $100 each and were easy to set up, come prebled, and have a little dial for reach adjust. I have Elixir 5 but they get noisy fast and kinda tend to...

    How important is weight?

I'd think that it'd make the biggest difference to shave weight off of certain areas as opposed to just anywhere on the bike. If it was me I'd start with the wheels.

    1.5 - 1-1/8-inch tapered

I assume that on the fork the 1 1/8 part would be where you clamp the stem on and the 1 1/2 is at the base of the steer tube so you should be fine.
