    Chimney Rock Conditions

Only had time for some of blue, which is still pretty messy, white, red, yellow and black. The trees must be waking up because the mud is drying out pretty fast now, I noticed a lot of rogue trail building on blue as well as moto tracks. Everything else I did today was pretty solid.

    Stephens State Park Conditions

Did about four hours today. It was absolutely perfect. A huge thanks to all the chain saw wielding peeps out there. In my travels I came across nothing to report. Perfect temps windy as hell and all alone till the last ten minutes of my ride. This was taken on sunset.

If anyone has a chance to take a look please report back. I was hoping for dawn patrol Saturday, obviously depending on conditions.

    Chimney Rock Conditions

I’d have to agree with the above post. I walked a little of blue and red. It was more firm than I expected but still relatively soft in my opinion. Lots of people hiking and you can see foot prints. Some people riding and tracks. Everything I walked was damp and the usual problem spots are...

    Chimney Rock Conditions

Attempted blue and red. If it were cold enough to freeze I’d have gotten a ride in. Where it was ice was rideable. The snow was very soft when it wasn’t ice and the mud was terrible where it was present so I called it quits after a couple hundred yards of both. I suppose the fat bikes rolled it...

    Chimney Rock Conditions

This was taken on blue around noon. It was soft and I can’t imagine being able to ride it. Maybe a fat bike, which I don’t have. It is packed down though and I’ll bet first thing in the Am will be rideable since it’ll refreeze. Also walked a little red. It looked similar.

    Chain Wax Discussion thread

I can imagine that the wax is hardening on contact, considering the temps. So probably not getting into to the parts needing lubricant

    Chimney Rock Conditions

Thanks man. I can’t leave well enough alone so I upgraded the bars, stem, saddle and cranks. IMHO 175mm do not belong on modern mtb geometry. It’s a great rig

    Chimney Rock Conditions

It’s a vine and attached at both ends. Didn’t have a handsaw so left it for someone who came prepared. Snowed on me the whole ride (Saturday) and it was fantastic. Great day.

Anyone know how much snow mooch got today?

    Allamuchy North Conditions

I dig mooch for the same reasons as a lot of you apparently. Isolated riding, can be out for hours without seeing anyone, the unmarked trails seem to be the best trails and very…I’ll say primitive, old school trail system that will beat you up. A lot of my crew who are from Pa hate it because...

    Allamuchy North Conditions

Sadly, there were more but I couldn’t stop to get them all. Friggin middle is pretty trashed and Atleast two big ones and tons of small stuff. Is that trail still ridden? It doesn’t really look like it.

So it looks like it wasn’t a swamp. How bad were the lower trails?

    Chimney Rock Conditions

Anyone have an idea on how soft it is right now? Hoping for dawn patrol Saturday before the rain.
