What Bird Did You See Today?

Hen in the front yard this AM. Funny thing is my NJFW wildlife biologist buddy just texted me asking if I’d seen any turkeys yet this season since his numbers are showing way down due to bear and bobcat predation.

During my road ride decided to stop by and see the black swans. I’m too lazy to check if I posted them here before. These are in a little pond on someone’s private property. But you can see easily from the road.

Also saw a YUGE heron along the river in califon but just as I went to stop and get my phone it flew away.

Great shot. I was probably only 6-8 ft away on the road from where the one I saw was perched on a rock in the river so I spooked it pretty quick.

Looks like a family of Morning Doves (I think) decided to make the flood lights above the garage their home.
