25-26 Ski and Snowboard Thread

Damaged the edge earlier this season and my Serpos. So I guess they are now rock skis. Was able to dremel out the edge and epoxy it back together, but not going to last. Only 50 days on those skis. Still prefer my old camox.

Looking to find a demo pair of blizzard rustler 9 for next year, but so far haven’t found a shop willing to sell.

Epic local pass for me.

I picked up a pair of new, last season's Rustler 9's for a $440 on ebay recently. It's the same as the current version except for the top sheet. They seem to pop up often these days. Packing them up for Banff in a few days.

Finished up an awesome Colorado trip on saturday with @Norm @Dominique @2Julianas and company

4 days at copper, 1 at winter park, 1 at Steamboat

Snow was good, weather was awesome. As I mentioned I had been to copper once before in 2013 with @Chris26er....but we went in early december and alot of the mountain wasnt open yet. Great time hanging out with this crew.

My son has been getting faster and faster....and while I will still kick his ass all over the mountain whenever I feel like it 🙂 ....he has been learning rapidly. I never thought he would be better than I was when i was his age (11), but he certainly is.....My dad RARELY took me on a black diamond trail as he didnt learn to ski until he was in his 20s....I have been dragging bob everywhere he will let me....And this has culminated this season where he has wanted to do things without me coercing him. At steamboat the other day, when we got to the christmas bowl....he was like come on, lets hit these chutes.....Usually its me asking him. It has been really fun to watch

Me, Bob and Simon had some fun on friday smashing the moguls under the timberline lift!

Nobody died on the T bar....I did tell bob that if he fell off of it...I would ski off and pretend I wasnt his father....No pressure.

Were the pictures in front of the Copper Snow sign taken from our condo?

I was in Banff the first week of March, it was great! My son had spring break from college, skiing and golf can keep your kids around forever!

We stayed in Canmore, I highly suggest it.

Ski Lake Louise is a serious mountain, I can't remember anything steeper other than Jackson Hole.

First photo from Safeway parking lot? My wife said she wouldn't mind food shopping if we had that view.

Funny. We didn't stay in Canmore but we did stop at that Safeway on the way into Banff for food the day we got there.
Same here. Hit the Grizzly Paw Brewery for a nice lunch too.

We had so many good meals in Banff and missed so many restaurants my wife wants to go back when the weather is warm. Locals all recommended September as being the best time to visit, for non-skiers.

Yep we were there in Sept 2019 for some biking, hiking and rafting. Spectacular place.

Past weekend was just fantastic at okemo. No crowds, soft snow and sunshine. The only line was for the epic passholder lunch on Sunday. Went to the Loft instead of waiting in a long line for a free hot dog, cookie and lemonade. 2-inches of rain this week will definitely put a damper on southern vt conditions. Hopefully one more weekend at stowe the weekend of April 10th to close out the season.
