Hartshorne/Huber Conditions

Second one is wrapped in vines with thorns. It also like it brother trail twice because it fell by a sharp turn. I didn’t attempt to get through it.

Did a lunch ride today and looks like some of the recent work got beat up pretty bad this weekend.
Laurel was in Great Shape, new work holding up well.. I didn't go to the lower section of Grand Tour as it was visibly muddy from the alligator. WaterTower DH was actually in really good shape, except the double after the S bend. Seems like the people that didn't jump it ate into the landings fronts . .. or they went around them , building side ruts. *( I'll post my ride video later )

Worst of it was on the Questa to Laurel Detour, lots of foot prints, but also a lot of tracks leading around the sides...
*( I have to think people were out there when it was raining, or soon after before it had a chance to dry up a bit )

Well Im thinking of going tomorrow with the bike,,,,,,Sunday,,,3/8....has anybody been there, walking or otherwise????
There is still snow, Ice or mud. The southwest sides aren't bad but the North faces need time yet.

Also there's a lot of blowdowns from the storm. We started clearing them on Friday. We'll be back Monday at 9am, Buttermilk lot. If you're available come join us, we could use support from the mtb community.

If you cant come out on Mondays, and you ride Hartshorne we have opportunities for you to give back. We'll be starting wknd sessions at Bradevelt in Marlboro and Crosswicks in Upper Freehold. Please make it a point to give back this year if you ride. Thanks!

3/28 Bradevelt, old state psychiatric hospital in Marlboro on 520. 9am-12pm.
Post up if you need help help finding it.

4/4 Crosswicks: 91 Walnford rd Allentown. 9am-12pm.

How were conditions yesterday? Still too soon?
Conditions are good, the trails have dried out nicely. There is some ruts on new stuff from people who just cant wait to ride.

We cleared Laurel Ridge and Cuesta of blow downs yesterday. We'll be back next Monday, from 9am-12pm clearing Grand Tour. Reach out for parking info.

For as many people that ride here, it would be nice to see some new faces coming out to help. It seems that everyone can make time to ride, but find no time to maintain trails.

If you ride, make the time to give back. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer, if you cant do Mondays, the previous post has wknd sessions coming up.

@Bike N Gear this is not directed at you, but everyone who rides Hartshorne. Giving me likes for a post does not help, showing up to volunteer does. Start the season of right and join in. Reach out if you have questions.
