This is the way. Rufus also allows to create local account, no need for that Microsoft account.Yep, that's what I did when I created the bootable usb with Rufus.

Without buying a Windows license you’ll just have the activation error forever unless the hardware has a license embedded. But yes, you can create a stick with Rufus like others mentioned to bypass TPM/CPU requirements. Threw W11 on an older Intel NUC as a garage PC. You’ll still get all updates, just may be slow depending on just how old the hardware is and you’re not missing much with an inactivated Windows install for basic use. For regular installs, oobe\bypassnro command at install to create a local account and not have to have network and sign in with MS.Do you have full functionality especially all the Windows patches being installed?

Would you happen live in Central NJ?I could put that to use and to make it possibly a little easier if it creates and headaches I have a relative whose knowledgeable in computer systems (however, it's one of those things that he's absolutely loathes it because he's been doing it since the early 00s. ) But yeah I already have a keyboard, mouse and even a monitor mount on the wall because I had started the piece I set up together when I bought a monitor and mini PC. That was unfortunately no good like toast no good lol
You know anything that I should know other than brand new account?

Yep, still have the Lenovo.I had a lot of fun trying various distros, win11 and what not on the HP, so thanks for that @dvaidya. BTW, win11 pro installed fine and activated on it. Its having wifi drop issues and no Bluetooth, which I resolved by getting USB dongles. I am experimenting it for a HTPC, but its powerful enough for my use case.
If you still got that Lenovo with you, I can get that off your hands next time I am in your area! My neighbors kid can use it it seems.
So my neighbor got a raspberry pi and does not want this anymore.Yep, still have the Lenovo.
