It’s not my place, but this is the time when Kurt will be asking everyone not to ride on the Batsto trails. Warm temperatures and melting snow will make the trails fragile.

Just drove between Wharton & Penn forests. And any road that had tire tracks were covered in water.

For what’s its worth. Brendan T Byrne sand roads were not rideable with a regular mountain bike. Black Run just posted that the sand roads were not good. Both parks are just miles from Wharton.

It would be wise but not mandatory. This ride is older than fat bikes being popular in our area. That’s why we held it in winter. The sand was at its hardest.
