    Riding with one lung question

I am following up on my post from last July. Lung surgery (left lung pneumonectomy) followed by chemotherapy which finished late November. My positivity was definitely dampened by reality and chemo but the beautiful weather we had a couple days ago inspired me to get out on my bike. I only...

    Riding with one lung question

Thank you for the honest feedback. I am no racer these days but I will push myself. It will be a while before I am on a bike again. I'm planning and keeping that goal. I will find out about my pathology next week which will decide if there is any after treatment like chemo or radiation...

    Riding with one lung question

Thank you for the support!!! I'm hoping to get back on my non powered bikes. I'm 59 and my doctors are very happy with my progress in this very short time. I know it will take a lot of time to recover but I am plugging along. I'll be discharged from the hospital tomorrow. If you guys know of...

I salute you. I don't drink much anymore. It took a while to get that under control from my Navy days. Athletic Brewing has some good NA stuff.

A visit to MONDRAKER in Spain 🇪🇸

Very cool experience you had at Mondraker in Spain. I had the fortunate pleasure of seeing Benidorm and Palma de Mallorca when I was in the Navy back in the 80's. I found the culture very welcoming and relaxed. Spain is one of my favorite places.

    Post your BooBoo's

Are you having laparoscopic or open surgery? I had open surgery, with a mesh patch, for an inguinal hernia at the end of October. I would agree 4 to 6 weeks. Be kind to yourself during recovery but get up and walk around a bit. Do not try to lift much during the 4 to 6 weeks period and when...

    Post your BooBoo's

This must be a thing. I was diagnosed with right side inguinal hernia yesterday. I guess the left side repair from 1997 got lonely.

What have you done to your bike today?

Fabricated a fatbike fender out of some materials on hand.
