I have been in the gorge area and its very nice however I didn't actually ride there but i did go here http://www.class-vi.com/ & the zip line is pretty cool. Family friendly place too... Also the thomas/davis area of WV is nice and I agree almost anywhere else is good

Lots of Rocks!!!!! Need to use extra caution here and a helmet is a must have, probably wear gloves too!! Be safe and have fun it's a nice place you probably want to go in a clockwise fashion because if you try going up the (most visible) trail near the restroom its pretty rocky and steep.
