Things that make you frown :(

That's my default road position. It's all about not being overlooked. Prevents close passing along narrow lanes and blind turns. Helps with pull outs and right crosses.

    WTB: Road Tandem

I've been casually looking for a decent road tandem. Something like an old Trek T200 would be perfect.... Co-Motion, Santana? About a 58/53 toptube. Under $1k? Thanks!

Anybody have winter riding clothes down to a science?

Merino wool, wherever possible, never a blend though (unless socks), 100% merino only and never clammy again. Arm warmers are great. Something windproof for the chest. Balaclava and big glasses that wont fog when you stop. Think about a place to stash layers quickly. I do a lot better if I...

    Recommend bigger gravel tires

For my gravel rides, big slicks are great. >38 Anything light, big and without puncture protection from the Panaracer factory. Tread doesn't seem to help me much unless there is mud or singletrack.

    Critique my pump tracking

Your pump looks really good though it looks like your fork is sucking a good bit of potential energy. I have a tough time there in Vernon getting & maintaining speed on my bmx w/ quick, light tires....I have to pump like a madman. Plus there is usually wind there to slow things down. The...

    SuperX for Gravel GravelX !

For gravelly rides I really like 48 & 34 chainrings or 46 & 30 used w/ cassettes w/ a 32 big cog and road derailleurs. I don't think of this set up as 2x but more like a '1x plus granny'. The big rings run very smooth across the entire cassette (big big runs great) and I only need to get in...

What have you done to your bike today?

this type of fender gap can be a safety issue. You have big gaps at the openings where debris will pull in, then your gap gets much smaller where the debris gets pushed through.

Things that make you frown :(

Had to use this tactic a few years ago hiking w my kid. If a dog is rushing close enough, it gets a pre emptive kick to the jaw. If a yell doesn’t stop it first.
