I had the Jawbone. It died 3 times for no apparent reason. Jawbone sent me replacements under warranty. Then on the third time I was told it was out of warranty. So I was stuck with a dead product. Worked well before it died within 12 months.

The blue stuff could be Loctite. It is designed to dry and prevent nuts and bolts from backing out. It's possible that it is not tight enough, but feels tight because of the Loctite.
