Which sunglasses?

What glasses do you wear for riding (specific model)? I've been looking all over but I can't find anything that fits me well. I think I have a weird head shape. My face seems to be on the narrow side but my temples are wider than they should be. So glasses wither look ridiculous on me, or they're too tight. Looking for more suggestions/brands to look at.

Anyway, what are you wearing? Looking more for road riding but they'll see MTB use too.

The cheap kind, I lose, drop my glasses all of the time. Plus if they get scratched up I don't have to eat hundreds of dollars in ruined glasses.

This is good advice -- you can pay a fortune for sunglasses and they really aren't much better. All glasses fog up in humid weather. And all glasses get scratched. Cheap ones can be easily replaced. I didn't pay attention to this and spent a fortune replacing glasses for years. This year, I got a pair of Oakleys at a discount outlet and paid less than 50% for them. And I could care less what happens to them -- I'll never spend a lot of money for glasses again.

I wear Oakley Racing Jackets with fire iridium lenses for the road and persimmon lenses for the trail.

+3, whatever rite aid/walgreens/cvs has on the closest rack. Just like organic foods, you may think you are getting a better product by spending more money, but the $12 glasses will protect your eyes just as well as the $112 ones. 😉

Lol $112. I got the same ones as Lou and love them. Good thing is if I did scratch lenses they are replaceable. They were a bit more than $112

Ha ha!... unless your sponsors are frontin you some shades, I would wear whatever cheap ass glasses you used to drive to the trailhead with... expensive shades are super retarded!... you drop them, sit on them, mangle them, lose them... then you whine like the big fat baby that you are for buying super expensive eye protection... get a cheap-O pair of safety shades for 9 bucks at Lowes and be happy when they fall off your face and get trampled buy the one stupid dude behind you that says to himself "hay, a pair of shitty glasses" as he flattens them with his rear wheel.
I'm lucky enough that my wife works for a major eyeglass wholesaler, and get some sweet kicks for my globes.. but if I wasn't gettin such sweet swag, I would be visiting the local hardware store or Wallyworld for safety shades...

I've had the same pair of sunglasses since 2006. And I bought those because I didn't have any before, so I'm not worried about losing/breaking a good pair. Walter just gave me an idea....organic sunglasses. I'm rich, beeeitch.

Uvex if you can find a dealer... I disagree with buying cheap glasses... Spend more and you will likely be more responsible

Oakley M Frames. I used to wear persimmon lenses for dirt but recently have been using clear and blue iridium for the road. They're at least 10 years old so not too worried about scratches.

As someone with almost $2000 in prescription eyewear I wish I could get away with less. Treat them well, they treat you well.

What I find funny is that somewhere on an eyeglass forum (they exist, I checked) someone is probably asking what "what bike they should buy?" And all the members are telling them to buy the cheapest one they can find at Wally World or Dicks because they are all the same. Just sayin.

Oakley radar path with transition lenses. Incredibly pricey. Totally worth it. Had mine for 5 years.

One pair does it all.

Treat your eyes right. Skimp somewhere else

Yeah I was thinking about that this morning, the olde huffy metaphor.

i don't mess with sunglasses...i have sensitive eyes.

that said, i've got oakley racing jackets. i should have sprung for the transition lens but the things were so damn expensive as it was i couldn't rationalize it.

so of course i now own like four sets of lens.

SMH

Oakley Flak Jackets
They stick in your helmet just right and the difference in the lenses with Oakley's is real. Less scratching and better optics. Find them in ebay or a discount site to save $$.

Always. Over the straps is a good way to blow up a pair if you forget to take off the glasses before the offer helmet.

Oakleys have the rep for optics but I have never found a pair that look good on me. I like Maui Jims (also crystal clear optics) but their glasses aren't really geared toward cycling it seems. I found a pair that I really like but not sure they'll work out.

It also seems like a tall order to find lenses that are transition and polarized.
