Jdog, they are good either way, but if there's any elevation the rear will hook up even better.
Tuesday.
You guessed it!! Commute. Over Washington Rock. Legs were pretty tired all day today. I have a 2-day delay, so I'm feeling Sunday's ride now. That's also one of the reasons I'll flip my Monday and Tuesday workouts (when I do a workout). It's nearly impossible for me to do whatever work is scheduled, it's also why I get murdered on the shop ride more times than not.
Ride home. I swapped all my stuff back onto the EVO and rode it home. Still pretty impressed with this bike. It really does ride great. I was to tired to rail it up Washington Rock, but it does climb nice, even with my big silly wheels on it. Confident on the descent. Weaves through traffic good. Has nice acceleration. And like I said earlier, NOTHING like the SuperSix, hands down a much better overall bike.
The down? For a stock bike I don't think it has one. But, since converting my stable to all custom, I've become a bit more of a bike snob. At the very least, a stock bike will never fit or handle as well as something custom.
Bike porn?
Maybe. Here's that wheel I started saturday. Pain in the booty build. It takes a lot of work to get 20 spokes to pull a deep dish carbon rim into round.
And this was just too much fun. A locking fork from an old Schwinn. Super cool. They were onto something back then. Pete also brought in an old Schwinn hub that had a freewheel built into the hubshell. It also was very cool but I didn't get a pic of it.
That's it for today. It's raining. Pretty sure I'm not going to CX practice. I don't feel like cleaning my bike again, plus I need a recovery day at some point this week. This would be a good day.
